Our Christian Education programs invite people of all ages to participate in the ministries and missions of Christian faith. These programs include Sunday church school, learning center events, adult education opportunities, second hour activities (following Sunday worship), youth fellowship and service programs, and confirmation instruction for ninth graders.
Church School is offered Sunday mornings, from September through mid June, for children ages kindergarten through grade 8. Children generally begin their Sunday morning in Worship with their families, and leave for church school at a designated time. Child care is available for infants, toddlers and preschoolers in our Toddler Room.
During our 2017-2018 program year, our Sunday School students will be learning about parts of the worship service and the scripture lesson being read each Sunday. They will bring a letter home to their parents/guardians that day with questions and possible discussion topics that will promote conversation between the adults and the youth. Those young people are pretty insightful!
Spread the word – Saturday, October 28th, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (please note the time change), join us for an adventure in the “Wild, Wild, West”!
Purchase food and beverages from local vendors, crafts to make and games to play, pumpkins to decorate, Trunk or Treat, and MORE! Come in your Halloween costumes and bring a friend. Care to volunteer at the event that day? Sign-up sheet is in the church office.
CALLING MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLERS
I am hoping to schedule some “outside of church” activities for our middle/high schoolers. A short brainstorming session was held recently to get some ideas of areas of interest. Events will be posted here, in the newsletter and in the Sunday bulletin. Sharon Chamberlain
We have begun our confirmation classes for the 2017-2018 calendar year. Please contact the church office or Sharon Chamberlain for more information.
